Arpinder Kaur

Arpinder kaur is a flight instructor in a commercial airlines in the United States of America. So what's so special in this statement?

Let me tell you the speciality. Arpinder Kaur is a Sikh (as the name suggests) and is a woman (this too can be judged from the name). So she is the first Sikh woman at the post of Flight Instructor in the United States of America. She has made the Sikh community proud of herself. My friend who told me about her and gave the idea to write a post about her said, "She has inspired me a lot, even I will try to do something that people will feel proud of me." I think many of you would also have got some inspiration from her. Isn't it? if not, well read the complete post below and know more about her.

She is 28 and flies Embraer Jets for American Eagle, a regional airline part of AMR. She lived in Virginia after the move and attended George Mason University where she graduated with a degree in Information systems. She likes flying, she wanted to fly from the very childhood but the dream and like became more and more stronger as she grew up. She says it was the support of the family, support of the parents and support of the community that made her determination to grow stronger and more stronger with the time. From 2003 to 2005 Kaur was trained by Jesse Sherwood in Kansas. She also resolved the issue of flying with the turban by filling out an Accommodation Form.

When asked why she chose to do this, she said:
" Two of the reasons I did this were; first, my love of flying and second, to set a precedent for the community so they know you can be in your Sikh appearance and do anything out there; so that my younger brothers and sisters (the rising generation) will pursue their passions while practicing their Sikh faith."

I think you all would like to see this clip. I thank the director for this video.

So what you say about this woman? I know she will make her children do something better for the community. Just see her family photograph.
